History of Hermosa Corp.

One of our predecessors, Allen William Hubbell, thoroughly enjoyed visiting and walking along the shore of Hermosa Beach in California–this was how our name, Hermosa Corporation, originated.

In Spanish the word “Hermosa” means beautiful, and is considered the highest compliment to give when looking for a word that describes something of beauty and grandeur.

About Hermosa Corp.

Hermosa Corporation, established in 1992, is a manufacturer of Highway Sign Supports and Traffic Signs. We are located in New York Mills, NY.

Our primary products include: Overhead Sign Structures, Roadside Sign Supports, Traffic Signs & Overhead and Ground Mounted Sign Panels, utilizing Aluminum and Steel Support Systems. We also manufacture Structural Fences.

Each year, Hermosa’s steel shop completes our American Institute of Steel Construction [AISC] quality audit. Hermosa has been an AISC Certified Fabricator since 2004. The successful audits are the result of hard work by our Quality personnel as well as the attention the employees pay to quality every day.

Hermosa Sign Shop’s past jobs have included New York’s blue “Attractions” signs seen on the Thruway and state highways, as well as the “Path Thru History” signs, the “I Luv NY” and “Taste of NY” sign initiatives. In addition, Hermosa was the only sign shop in the state with the flexibility to produce New York “Gateway” signs welcoming travelers to New York.
